StarClan's Favor: Blessings
Certain cats are blessed from those above to be more skilled than others in select areas. Some cats gain this from birth, others through courage and valor, and others through rank alone. Regardless of how it is earned, StarClan’s Favor is not something to take lightly. These are represented by Blessings, which are small enhancements to Skills and to other various systems on our roleplay.

-
Leaders, while also gaining nine literal lives, go up to 9 Blessings, the max value, on approval from StarClan. They will lose one Blessing each death, and can also lose the approval of StarClan and get additional Blessings deducted.
-
If a leader loses a life due to an injury they do not lose skill levels; instead losing a blessing and being moved down to a lvl 3 injury. This level may increase again as usual, without an additional death any skill level losses will proceed as normal.
-
-
Deputies get an automatic 3 Blessings when promoted. These can be lost by losing the rank, or losing approval from StarClan.
-
Healers apprentices get an automatic 2 Blessings on approval from StarClan, and on being accepted as a Healer this goes up to 6 Blessings, given they are still approved of by StarClan.
-
HRs may not take these blessings as their starclan given blessings: Rolemodel, Shake it off, Instructor,
-
Any member may earn Blessings for their cats by completing server events, which will be detailed under each blessing. When you've met the requirements for a blessing with a cat please fill out the form found in our resources bot tag so that we can check the requirements are met and update the blessings in the backend.
-
All rolls counted for roll-based blessings must be rolls that were used. If you had advantage/disadvantage, the roll you discarded does not count towards any blessing requirements.
-
A cat with Blessings has to select from the list below which they would like to have. These are permanent once selected, and cannot be moved between characters. If you lose StarClan’s Favor at any time, you will have to give up Blessings.
-
These Blessings must be documented on your character’s info sheet document - otherwise they will not be counted.
-
Each Blessing bonus can only be given to a cat once per thread, unless otherwise stated. So, if for instance, two cats have the Blessing “Preventative Medicines” in the same thread, each cat in that thread can only receive the bonus once.
The Blessings
Founders' Blessings
These blessings can only be given from a leader to a cat who has done something incredible in service of the clan that the leader giving the blessing is from. The blessing from a leader depends on the clan!
Each cat can only have one of these Blessings at a time. Each Blessing can be received three times in total, with each time granting more benefits.

Favorite Flower (Created by @mothswirl)

Substitutive Healing (Created by @topazolite)
-
Huh, cobwebs are more useful than you thought. When you roll Healing, you can substitute any herb of your choosing to use instead. However, this haphazard application means that you require two uses instead of one.

Earnable Blessings
Some blessings have specific conditions you can meet in normal roleplay to earn them! Keep a look out cause Starclan may decide to bless your cat!

Talented

Better Alone
Level 1:
If a cat has gone on 15 Solo threads (which must be at least 3 posts long) they can chose to take this blessing, but it is not required.

-
Level 2: (Created by @mothswirl)

Starclan's Hope (Created by @mothswirl)
Can be obtained after gaining four Natural 20s or 1s in a single thread.

You must accept the last roll.
Forethought (Created by @mothswirl)
Can be obtained after rolling three of the same numbers on skills that are the focus in one thread

Immunity
A cat can receive this blessing after being sick 2 times, and healed fully before it can spread both times.

Alternatively, a monarch can earn this blessing after completing 9 threads with kits.
-
They look up to you, you know? For any thread you participate in with kits, those kits gain double EXP with the focused skills, and cannot be injured by Nat 1s in a thread with you. To gain the benefits of the EXP boon of this blessing each cat that would benefit from the blessing, and the cat who has the blessing must make at least three posts. -
-
Dirty Fighter
-

When the meter is filled, your Brawling stat becomes Mastered / 7 for one roll, before the meter resets. If your Brawling stat is already Mastered, then you instead gain advantage.
-
A Small Piece of Home
If a cat wins a battle while fighting alongside their clanmates they may chose from one of these instead of 'Fighting styles' or 'Brawling strategies'. But are not disallowed from choosing from those lists.
Each cat can only have one of these Blessings at a time.

Shake it Off
Can only be obtained during SOTC's Anniversary.
-
Once every 28 days a cat may use this blessing to reduce one of their own injuries by one level. This blessing can not be used on an illness. The second tier will also reduce the shake it off cooldown time from 28 days to 14 days
StarClan's Ire: Curses
Starclan does not often step in where leaders should punish, but there are times cats push the code too far, or evade the eye of their council.
Curses are optional, and given out when a cat commits a crime as dictated by the code. If taking one would be too stressful and detract from the fun of your experience in SOTC please let your staff know so they can discuss the situation with you.
Founders' Curses
Inspired by: @emberfall777, @burningpigeon, @anonymously5866, @dictatorjacksonthesecondone, @topazolite
For committing crimes against the other Clans, the leaders repay it back tenfold. These curses are often given to cats that regularly disrespect Clan boundaries, attack cats at borders, or enter crossclan relationships.

Level 2: Sometimes you feel like under the earth, there’s something stalking you - something hungry. The first time you roll tracking in any thread, roll twice and take the lower.

Curses of Legend
Created by: @asterianya
There is a reason that the Clans of old remain there. For their crimes, they have fallen, and you shall do the same if you continue your ways. These are each given for their individual reasons, but each are as devastating to the individual and the Clan. Your pelt, newly shifted, seems to appear only to you - a foreboding warning of a shared fate.
TigerClan’s Mark:
Bearing their marked stripes, your pursuit of blood and glory over protection has left the shadows hostile to you. Your cat must roll sneaking with disadvantage and cannot combo brawling with sneaking.
LeopardClan’s Blot:
Vanity and callousness destroyed LeopardClan, and now it marks you with soaked skin and marring rosettes. Your cat must roll swimming with disadvantage and cannot combo hunting with swimming.
LionClan’s Smear:
They say the mane of a revolutionary grows moldier with every day - and yours isn’t looking very clean. Your cat must roll climbing with disadvantage and cannot combo hunting with climbing.
CheetahClan’s Streak:
Old CheetahClan was forgotten by all but Windclan, though their betrayal of those closest to them for the other Clans has marked you with their tear stains. Your cat must roll tracking with disadvantage and cannot combo brawling with tracking.
Other:

Those who do not acknowledge the importance of the healers must suffer without. Your cat must roll gathering with disadvantage.

If the injury you inflicted was above level 2, your cat must roll your choice of sneaking, hunting, or brawling at disadvantage.
Hunter’s Hunger: (Created by @rotdogz)
For some reason, the animals in the forest are out for your blood. Everytime you encounter a prey animal of your choice, you instead lose the catch and receive an injury as per a Natural 1.
