Culture
ThunderClan is home to the courageous, proud, and fiercely loyal cats of the forest. They value community and family above all else, while strict about their rules of who can join them, outsiders that prove to be able to adapt will be accepted as equals to Clanborn cats. ThunderClan cats also value honesty and openness, preferring to speak frankly without mincing many words, which may lead them to seem thoughtless and unruly to other Clans.
Fangstar's Decree
"ThunderClan took me in, and for that I am forever grateful. I hope I can pay back the love and care you all showed me a thousand times over." - Fangstar
-
StarClan & Faith
-
After the battle with the wolves, where StarClan intervened, Fangstar knows they exist, but whatever positive opinion she had disappeared when Snowdapple told her that they wanted to be more strict about cross-Clan relationships. She views it as a massive hypocrisy: why would StarClan, which doesn't have borders at all, try to enforce strict divisions between the living? She believes StarClan as a collective makes horrible, out-of-touch decisions and is a bit relieved that, according to her beliefs, they can only intervene in dire circumstances. But she holds out hope that individual StarClan cats (especially Thunderstar) might still be reasonable and understand that cross-Clan relationships don't make cats any less loyal to their home Clan.

Warrior Code
-
Fangstar mostly agrees with the code, especially the parts about protecting the most vulnerable. However, she hates the derision towards outsiders baked into it; the law should ban killing ALL cats, not just cats who follow the code. She's also vehemently against the leader's word being law, and she would never use it outside of true emergencies. She never, ever thinks it's a good idea to threaten dissenters with punishment; she'd much rather convince them to join her side with her words. If she can't convince them, then maybe her reasoning isn’t all that strong to begin with!

Current State of Affairs
"Above all, we must show the other Clans that ThunderClan cats are fair, peaceful, and kind." - Fangstar
-
WindClan
-
Peace has stretched between the two clans for many many moons, they remain neutral with no foreseeable future in change.
-
-
RiverClan
-
After historically high levels of tensions that boiled over into fights at the border, ThunderClan and RiverClan have settled into a new calm. Many cats have been hurt on both sides, but the councils want to maintain the peace, especially Fangstar.

-
ShadowClan
-
ShadowClan and ThunderClan are on friendly terms. Previously allies, and camp-mates, ThunderClan provided ShadowClan with shelter when they lost their territory to wolfdogs. Fangstar is very interested in keeping the peace, especially since she has many friends and a mate in ShadowClan.

Holidays
Thunder's Roar
-
Celebrated during the first thunderstorm of Green-Leaf, ThunderClan takes this time to honor their founder and start the year anew. ThunderClan gathers together within the safe confines of their camp to watch the storm, listen to the roars of Thunderstar and partake in festivities. Cats celebrate by creating presents for others they’d like to spend time with going forward, particularly those that they feel they’ve neglected or wronged. This is a great time to make amends, let go of grudges, confess love, and make new personal goals.

Moss Ball Tournament
-
ThunderClan’s great competitive spirit is put to use in an annual competition! During the last day of Leaf-Fall, before the snow takes over the territory, ThunderClan competes in an official game of moss ball. There’s two teams to cheer for, the Viperfangs and the Eagletalons. The winning team gets first pick of the prey-pile before the night comes to an end with a feast.
Specialty Ranks
Timbered
-
With a dexterity and swiftness that rivals their Hearthborn rank, Timbered warriors are the cats who guard the trees of ThunderClan's camp, and the outer territory. Adept in camouflage, these warriors are stealthy, and can be seen patrolling the treetops of ThunderClan territory. These warriors have a vast knowledge of the treetops that rivals their Hearthborn peers when it comes to navigation of ThunderClan's forests. While Timbered warriors are more suited for tree-fighting, it should be known to not discount them when it comes to ground-fighting; these cats can hold themselves in a ground battle if need be! While Timbered warriors are phenomenal fighters, they are more known for their prowess in hunting within the treetops of ThunderClan. Combined with their unique language of chirping to mimic bird call, Timbered warriors are a vital counterpart to their opposing Hearthborn rank.
Hearthborn
-
While Timbered warriors guard the trees of ThunderClan, Hearthborn warriors are the true navigators of ThunderClan's ground territory. Known for their fierce loyalty to their Clan, Hearthborn warriors have a great sense of pride in their home, and in their duties as warriors. And quite common enough, Hearthborn warriors can be seen accompanying their Timbered counterparts on patrols as a guard, in a sense. Hearthborn warriors are known for their exceptional tracking skills, a skill that is vital in worse case scenarios. Hearthborn warriors are adept at tracking due to their expertise in navigating the dense foliage of ThunderClan’s territory from the ground. Combined with their defensive fighting skills, Hearthborn warriors truly compliment the Timbered warriors of ThunderClan, above all.
Campminders
-
If ThunderClan's warriors are its bark, the campminders are its sapwood. They handle the maintenance of camp, such as expanding dens and keeping the fresh kill pile clean, vital tasks for the Clan's health and comfort. They do not participate in border patrols, and by and large are not considered for conflicts on the territory. Only learning self-defense, they nonetheless prove invaluable when crisis comes to camp, leading evacuations and ensuring the safety of those under their care. While a number of campminders do choose this role later in life, a number of apprentices choose this path for their training, learning how to hold the Clan together with moss and love.
Monarchs
-
Monarchs are cats who wish to devote themselves to the raising and care of their clan’s young. Whether they have had a litter themselves and are temporarily monarchs, or have devoted the rest of their lives to this role. Permamonarchs often take on a familial role for cats who need advice/support in difficult times regardless of their age or rank. A cat must be at least old enough to have kits to become a permamonarch, and permamonarchs cannot be mentors.
Trial Apprentices
-
Trial Apprentices are those who must prove their loyalty to the Clan and learn their ways. While still being adults, and treated as such, they do not have the same rights as warriors, since they're unable to mentor a cat or become deputy. They use this time to understand their new way of life, bond with their clanmates, and decide whether ThunderClan is for them. However, some Trial Apprentices are warriors who have broken the Code, and must prove their loyalty to the Clan. Once both groups have completed their training, though, they are welcomed into the Clan as if they had always been there, a beloved Clanmate like any other.
